Media Validation Tool Kit (MVTK)

Overview

The Media Validation Toolkit (MVTK) provides customers with a means of quickly developing a facility for validating an EGM’s (electronic gaming machine’s) computer hardware environment and game media before an operating system is loaded. The aim of such validation is to enable the system to meet the technical requirements of the various gaming jurisdictions.

  • MVTK provides a software framework for checking the integrity of the following computer components:
  • Storage devices, including NVMe M.2 devices, SATA SSDs, CFASTs, USB devices or hard disk data integrity;
  • BIOS binary image integrity.
  • All integrity validation uses SHA-1 (160-bit) or SHA-256 (256-bit) digests of the chosen media or subsystem.
  • No previous developer experience is required to use this version.
  • All configuration can be done using a text editor
